RoamingObjects app for iPhone and iPad

RoamingObjects app enables you to augment the tools you borrow from participating partners with digital histories in the form of pictures, videos, location information, comments and ratings.

RoamingObjects app will help you

- inquiry digital history of the rental object
- capture your experience with the rental object
- share your experience with fine-grained level of disclosure

The app allows you to contribute to the growing history of the tools from participating providers.
Roaming Objects is an attempt to encourage tool sharing practices in the DIY community of makers. We are currently supporting rental objects from Vancouver Tool Library, Homestead Junction and School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University in Canada.

The application is an ongoing research effort of a collaboration between Università della Svizzera italiana, USI Lugano (Switzerland) and Simon Fraser University (Canada). We are working hard to collect new user requirements to meet your expectations. Download the app and sign up for our study!
